The signing of a pioneering agreement in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, by three renowned institutions marked the creation of the European association SmartFactoryEU EWIV.
The new association will have its headquarters in Kaiserslautern, Germany, with Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Detlef Zuehlke as its founding managing director.
The association pursues the goal to place the numerous activities in the member states under one roof to strengthen Europe’s position on the world market. The founding members are Flanders Make from Belgium, Brainport Industries from The Netherlands, and SmartFactory-KL from Germany. The association is based on EU law.
